Hello, Sophie’s (and Tommy’s) Man. Glad to see you getting some screen, er, panel time.

Of course it’s always nice to have a hidey hole under a bureau to snuggle up in.

Sophie has such a lovely smile. And now Sophie’s window is that much more perfect.

TINY PAW TOUCH! An honor! Boop!

Nobody does a blissed out smile like Sophie.☺️

Sophie reaches out and touches someone. Physically, I mean, not emotionally as she has done us.

She’s even happier now. Sophie is blessed with caring tree-legs.

Jasper used to curl his paw around my finger like that. Oh dang, there goes my inferior blurry screen again!

It’s so sweet that Sophie exchanges a touch with one of the builders.

Why does Sophie look like she’s under a blanket?

That window was nearly a pane of her existence…

Last week, I’d mentioned that Loaner Cat disappears whenever strangers are in the house. Well, after three months of construction on our kitchen, at least one stranger apparently wasn’t anymore! Our kitchen reno took so long, we became friends with our contractor and went to dinner last Friday with him and his wife. I’d mentioned something about his leaving the attic cover off overnight and Loaner Cat appearing the following morning covered in flotsam (the cover is floor level in the closet) and he told me when he went up there the next day to work on the electric, she’d come out, booped him a couple times and was trying to help him with the work! She must have been very happy about exploring the attic and trying to thank him for her adventure. I don’t know. But I was quite shocked. Who knew?

You just can not trusting Windows, cat. Ya is never knows when they is come crashing down.

I thought Man had a long ponytail and glasses. I must be losing it.

That face in the last panel would make a great t-shirt.

I can appreciate Sophie’s structurally sound window…my daughter’s a structural civil engineer! ☺

Tomorrow’s strip – Goldie with a screwdriver? (While distracted by Sophie, our intrepid Detective helps herself to one of the contractor’s tools.)

That’s one of the builders who installed that window in the first place. I think he must feel a little guilty but Sophie has obviously forgiven him.

The finger boop is everything

I had to have a moment with my Gracie earlier. I got up from a chair and she was just beside my leg. So when I turned to walk into the kitchen, her tail was under my foot. I never saw her. Normally her tail is swishing all around me. Not this time. I didn’t put full weight on her tail, thankfully, but it sent me into the doorway with a smack, and Gracie in the other direction. So we had to have poor, poor, Gracie time. Then I cooked her some chicken. It’s a super medicine for a sore tail. I felt terrible, got a small lump on my forearm as well. LOL Sara was funny. She didn’t know who to see about first. But I am happy to report that after a nice lunch of chicken, all is well here. Even if Gracie was under foot again as I got her that chicken.

Thanks to the tape measure, we know Sophie’s arm is 3 inches long.

Sophie has really come out of her shell lately. She’s letting the builder take her paw! Maybe knowing she has such good friends is helping her brave the world (and having a nice bureau to retreat under doesn’t hurt).

I’m glad the Builder made friends with Sophie. Now they have to make a fuss over their Sweet Little Lamb as well.

Every now and then Sophie shows her practical side. Love how she let the builder poke her paw.
