People currency is terrifying, Pucky.
OK. Are we all done commenting that the renters should just buy the big, historic, expensive house in need of major maintenance on several fronts? Thank you.
Perhaps it’s time for one of those legendary New England style town meetings!
Clearly what’s needed is a tenant for the other apartment with two cats named Iggy and Ora Zella.
Not to worry. The Good Fairy will help them with a wave of her wand.
Third panel really pops ! :-)
If a rainbow means terrible, I’d hate to see what a full-blown thunderstorm means…
Pool your resources. Then get out of the pool and find that hidden room the Cats and Mice know of. Get Tabitha and Sir Fig to help!
At least they are smiling.
So what do cats use for currency? Educate us, Puck! Preferably with a chart!
I love Puck here and the great punchline
That’s the most cheerful terrible I’ve ever seen.
Okay, what if everyone pitched in just one kidney – The Woman, the Man, the Ceiling Woman, the Bookstore Woman … that’d be enough for a down payment. Right?
I don’t know the other character’s name but I think she’s had an idea in panel 3. Buy together?
If Tommy’s woman is there, did she bring Tommy? Are he and Goldie trying to get Elvis out from under the bed?
Wait until you hear about all the things that cost an arm and a leg, Puck. And the fact that all American currency has dead people on it. Terrifying indeed.
If you love to scour old salvage yards on a Saturday for parts for your 1895 house, then having a Painted Lady is for you. If knob & tube wiring doesn’t frighten you, then one of these Victorina Grand Dames houses is for you.
These houses are hobbies. Your satisfaction and joy come from finding an eight-screw hinge that matches the other two for the second-floor north bedroom door. You look at modern subdivision homes, with their ant-like mundane conformity, and wonder how people can live this way.
I salute anyone who takes on a dilapidated Victorian home and brings it back to life. It is a costly but fulfilling hobby that is best left to younger and richer people than me.
Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
Queen Catshepsut the Golden: I would like to thank you all for agreeing to participate in the exploration of the Very Good Pyramid.
Elvis-Anum: I’m still not sure why you need a scribe along.
Beatrixia: There may be hieroglyphs on the walls that need to be studied. We need the very best scribe to write them down.
Elvis-Anum: Then I’m your cat.
Puckmosis: Do we know anything about the pyramid.
Violet-Ifa: We think it may have been built during the reign of Queen Cleocatra. It was the best they could do at the time, but she always thought they could do better. Her descendant Catfre took up the challenge and built the Great Pyramid.
Elvis-Anum: Why is our resident Cat of Adventure not coming?
Puckmosis: Lupinium is in Afar giving tumbling lessons to the kids.
Elvis-Anum: That’s right. I remember Diana is coming along with her Uncle Loopy.
Ta-Natash: Anyway, do we have enough supplies for our journey?
Bea: Yes. I have food enough to get us there and back.
Tash: What are we waiting for? Let’s go!
Far be it from me to say I told you so…………………………………..But I TOLD YOU SO! :-) Remember, there is no place like home.
What is kitty currency like?
The goal, to me, would be saving it for the trust. Freddy’s trust should be able to keep her house. So more tenants and/or use the lost? office space and/or find a treasure.
Lol, wait until Puck learns about Sweat, blood and tears
It really is, Puck, it really is.
Not sure how the rainbow suddenly appeared out of that conversation…
Puck knows his snatomy.
Hmmmm.. maybe a joint investment by all the families that live in the house??????
TASTE the Rainbow!! – The ‘TERRIBLE’ RAINBOW !! … :)
Maybe I can help. I think I saw something that only costs you an arm and a leg, but I’m sure it’s going FAST!!
Most houses are selling fast and being used as rental properties. So it is likely that any buyer will continue to let them finish out their leases and then jack up the rents for the next year.
Puck is not wrong
Paying in kidneys? That is terrifying.
Not gonna lie, this one got me
Puck has never been so right.
