One free July Bug, one very dizzy Golden Mouse!
And tomorrow Agatha will stick the landing for a perfect 10 !
Agatha finally figured out how to open the lid! Fortunately she remembered righty tighty, lefty loosey.
Was that a Yurchenko quad spin?
Off he goes, into the wild blue yonder!
The world does not revolve around you and your dramas, Mag. (Although I suspect if you were to ask Agatha right now, she’d say that the world revolves around everything!)
Methinks that Mag is going to be more than a bit peeved at Agatha…
That girl has moves!
Agatha is golden! ;-)
Burn the land, boil the sea, you can’t take the sky from me!
That’s quite some momentum she built up there.
And we scoffed at cartoon physics!
“In physics a wave can be thought of as a disturbance or oscillation that travels through space-time, accompanied by a transfer of energy. Wave motion transfers energy from one point to another, often with no permanent displacement of the particles of the medium —that is, with little or no associated mass transport.”
Agatha to the rescue! What is she doing in the first panel?
With a spin as elegant and breathtaking as an Olympic gymnmouse, she save the day, a day in July history!
FREE AT LAST!!
Great Boot, it seems to me, has definitely earned the “Great” part of his name.
Freeeee, as free as the wind blows!
And so, Jules is free to go Around The World again after the end of his adventures of 20,000 Seconds Inside The Jar.
Nice tie-in to the Olympics. I would say give Agatha a 10 if she sticks the landing! I know they quit giving out 10’s in gymnastics about 15 years ago but I think the 10 system is still used for the execution part of diving though degree of difficulty is also factored in.
She sure was a great mouse.
Agatha displays great form in panel three and spectacular technique in panel four. Panel five though, would show her with whirls of dizziness and singing birds spinning around her head.
Seems unnecessary for Agatha to make a “jailbreak” for Jules when it seems like he was gonna be let go anyway.
Coldplay: A Sky Full of Stars
Now you can fly, you can fly, from the jar!
Go fly with all of your heart!
Now you can fly way afar!
We all care, be aware,
We are all glad for you,
Agatha freed you!
We’ll make sure you come to no harm.
Agatha’s a fighter, that is for sure,
And you have captured our hearts!
Take a heavenly view,
Agatha, we’re glad we met you!
Never underestimate the determination or skill of the Golden Mouse.
Meanwhile: Back on the Nile
Beatrixia: Class, we will begin our climbing workshop momentarily. But first, I would like to thank Maat-Tilda for making these lovely climbing curtains.
Maat-Tilda: Thank you, Bea. I was quite fortunate to come across a quantity of space-time fabric.
Climber Mihos: How did you get the fabric?
Maat-Tilda: Oh, it was the result of a time travel incident. Now where were we?
Beatrixia: I was about to demonstrate my climbing technique. It is an advantage to have polydactyl paws, but not essential.
Climber Ptah: How does space-time fabric make a difference?
Maat-Tilda: It just makes for beautiful curtains.
Bea: Thank you, Tillie. Now, here’s a technique for climbing with the Zoomies. Over to you Puckmosis.
Puckmosis: Thank you, Bea. Now to get ready to Zoom, it helps to think of something happy and exciting. Like flying. Alright, here we go!
one has to wonder how Mag ever got Jules in to the jar!
Georgia certainly knows how to execute her story in pics. Love it.
Technically (although not practically), if you own a piece of property in the United States, you own not only the surface, but all of it down to the core and all the way up to space.
Unless you’ve signed away mineral rights or the airport got a deal making air rights unenforceable.
Come on, baby
Let’s watch her twist
She has a golden plan
And it goes like this
Baby, baby, twist
Ooh yeah, just like this
Come on, justice
When she does the twist
Great Boot is peace-seekin’
And Mag ain’t turned around
Yeah, Agatha went leapin’
And barely touched the ground
She’s gonna a-twist, a-twist, a-twist’
’Til Jules is outward bound
That’s all right
Yeah, Jules in flight
(’Round and ’round and ’round)

Aaaaaand the July bug lives to annoy another day…
If dogs run free, why not me? – R. Zimmerman, Nobel laureate (!)
Agatha was a smart Mouse.
Love the cartoon cloud of speed in the second panel, the great leap, the spinning of the lid, and Jules flying away as the lid flies off with the Golden Mouse.
The Golden Mouse sails the air performing a tour en l’air and then pirouettes while gripping the jail’s entrance to unlock it and free July Bug from Magnet’s pro-Raccoon propaganda coup.
The bug is free! None of us can be free until the bug us free!
She’s like the Chuck Norris of the mouse world.
See? Infinitely cool mouse!
So, which Olympic event is that supposed to be? Vault?
Georgia, did you time this to happen during te Olympics? I ask because that was quite athletic of Agatha. :)
OT: Pet saves owner’s life!
Excuse the off topic, but I need to get this off my chest:
My heart is breaking for Simone Biles!
There is just so much joy in this comic today! :)
I love the backwards, hop, hop, hop with tail movement lines in panel 1, but I really love the cloud puff in panel 2 where Agatha takes off sprinting.
The vile raccoon princess does not like that decision. So when she becomes queen she’ll seek a way to control everything. At least unless a certain breed of dog moves into the neighborhood.
Free at last, free at last, thank Cat Almighty, he’s free at last!
ZZ Top’s bass player, Dusty Hill, passed away here at his home in Houston, Baicliff actually I think, at 72. Saw him shopping at our HEB once.
O.T. another heartbreaker—Dusty Hill of ZZ Top passed away in his sleep last night. They were on my concert bucket list. Even if the band continues without him, it’ll never be the same. R.I.P. Dusty.
Hooray! Jules is finally out of the jar.
The Golden Mouse’s name is Agnes, NOT Agatha. Here’s proof: https://www.zazzle.com/robber_mice_mugshot_mug_with_sneaking_natasha_coffee_mug-168050332373704988
