The return of the sticky notes! Pucky is very prepared this week! I suspect Beatrix is going to end up with a Puck-assembled For Emergency Situations package – whether she wants one or not.

I like that the mail carrier is so inclusive in his reply. He is sensitive and Pucky is right to idolize him!

I think the naming of furry friends is interesting. What we name or little friend says something about our personality. Or an event pertaining how the friend was found! My Spider was found in some bushes that have huge Hobo Spiders. Luna Tic… well… that is a bit self explanatory.

But I have been wondering what this Mail Carrier would name a cat who he could train to go with him on rounds!? Parcel? Queen Clavicle? Oh! I know a fun one – Forever! ;)

The guy in the mask might be a “mail carrier”, but I’m still not convinced he’s The Mailman of the old myths.

Of course, I didn’t take my gullibility pills this morning.

I’m going to have to share this part of the arch with my cousin, who is a mail carrier.

Now if I just get my dog to realize that mail carriers are not serial killers and that he doesn’t need to go into ballistic mode when they approach the house, life would be great.

My private “Support the US Postal Service” campaign will begin shortly. By some quirk of fate, approximately 90% of the birthday greetings I send out are for folks who celebrate somewhere between October 1st and November 3rd. I actually paid attention several years ago and noted that I spent $40 just to buy the cards (not the postage)!

This makes me love Pucky even more! He’s so wonderful. I know everyone wants a Pucky, but I really want one! I’m just afraid I’m gonna wind up with a Lupin. A Bea would be beautiful, too, though! Or a Tommy! A Tommy would be terrific!! Burt would be bodacious! But loopy Lupins stop me from going there.

There’s no worker like a mail worker, like the mail worker Puck knows

Everything about him is appealing, everything from his handsome head down to his toes

Nowhere could Puck get that happy feeling when he spies him approaching the house

There’s no people like mail people, they’ll smile even at a Robber Mouse

And with a cat-child up a tree so bold, he’d never leave her stranded out in the cold

He’s a mail carrier truly worth his weight in gold

And we’re so grateful he doesn’t spindle, mutilate nor fold

Mail carriers are superstars, beautiful sights to behold

(There’s No Business Like Show Business – Irving Berlin)

Mailmen should be used only in Old English because men no longer means people in modern English.

I noticed that most human characters from BCN have skin like strawberry smoothie.

    Today is …

    Outrageously popular as a holiday:

Save the Koala (Drop-Bear) Day: —Anyone remember the old Quantas™ commercials? Any animal that cute deserves saving, even if it turns out to be a cute, fuzzy animal with BIG SHARP TEETH.

National Cooking Day —For which we have the following menu:

For breakfast we have: National Quesadilla Day —ham, cheddar, mushroom, and ham, please. And …

National Bakery Day —Take out only, and I want a chocolate bear paw.

For lunch:National Crab-meat Newburg Day —Perhaps the lobsters were being saved for later …

    And for dinner:

National Lobster Day — …and here they are. I’ve been told that lobsters are really just an excuse to eat drawn butter …

    It is also …

National Comic Book Day —As we eagerly await release of Elvis Puffs Out. I’ve always appreciated the excellent art that goes into some comic books, and I’m glad there are collectors, now, who will preserve it.

National Psychotherapy Day —There is more truth in “Sanity is for those who cannot handle reality.” After all, this universe is only a collective hunch. Oh dear, I’ve probably set Robin and Gent off, again.

My cat treed herself three times after getting out the dog door. The fourth time that we found her outside, she managed to get quite a ways from home (thankfully, she comes to the rattle of the treat can). Then our other, more placid, cat started going out. Now we lock the kitties up at night so they don’t get a chance to explore the dog door any more.
