I hear the sound of cuteness meters breaking all across the land as well as across the seas.
It’s spreading. Flee or else it will swarm you with awwwwwwwsssss.
Baby + Kitten = Two Times the Sweetness!
Like yawns, baby naps are contagious.
I sense a snuggle pile coming on!
The flat cat flop is the more recognizable napping position of plumb tuckered out kittens.
Are the boys DOOMED to succumb, Robin?
Oh no, it’s the nap plague! The horror!
Remember when the First Baby fell asleep with the boys in a sunbeam? Apparently the Second Baby is not immune to catnaps, either!
I just love those polydactyl sandwich snatching paws! Extra aawwes. Le’Letha, still thinking of you.
Why is the word taboo? Call it what it is!
As a guy this is the first time I’ve wanted to try paper dolls in the new book Lupin leaps in video. Hilarious. Will have to buy two.
Another one for the books.
There’s nothing to do but grab a fleece blanket and join in.
Happy Bluesday, everyone! Oh my, the sweetness level is so high that I will have to leave the sugar out of my next cup of coffee, lest I dissolve into a puddle of overwhelmed goo!
Watch out….nap attraction is very contagious. I just got up, am on my first cup of coffee, am now feeling the magnetic pull of a snuggly blanket, oh………….
By the end of the week, will there be a cat not joining in?
I learned a new word last night while working a New York Times crossword puzzle.
Have you ever encountered the term one o’cat ?
It refers to a variant version of baseball that only has one base, sometimes only two players. There are several versions of the rules and various other names for it. Wikipedia has a fun article on it.
It made me think of ccwsparks mentioning (a couple of days ago) calling the cat at meal time with, “It’s food o’clock !”
Elvis, you had better hurry up. That nap will not take itself!
Oh, jeez. It IS contagious! I feel myself fallrasgin./nopj . . . zzzzzz
Totally off topic: Lupin Leaps In just magically appeared in my Kindle app overnight.
Don’t bother me today, real world!
My daughter used to nap with her black kitten named Sammy. This was back in the 60s. She is 55 now. I think she still naps with her cat.
Love Beatrix’s ringed tail in panel 2 :)
Dad Cat seems concerned that both his perfect little girls are out cold. Yet, he’s still updating both their baby books. I love the little detail that one book is for “The Baby” and the other is for “Our Baby.”
It is cold outside. I walked by the bedroom and saw my cat napping on the bed. Sat down to pet my cat and next thing I knew several hours had passed. Love napping with him.
My cat has taken several positions on napping. They are: flat, motionless, boneless, and anywhere.
It is very cold here today and will continue to be so tomorrow. My Lupin Leaps In book is to be delivered today. I am so looking forward to reaching “critical cozy” this afternoon with the book and a long nap with my furbabies! ♥♥♥♥
It is officially book release day. Georgia added some new links on the original BCN page to places to buy the book using some cute new art work. Also this on Instagram, https://www.instagram.com/p/BumeY92lfZi/ and this on Twitter, https://twitter.com/breakingcatnews/status/1102679282386518016
I am love, love, loving all of the “new” footage that Burt found!!! Sometimes it’s more fun not knowing what’s coming next!! Thinking of all of our family in pain of one kind or another and sending love & prayers out to all, especially Mrs. Skykey (Jeanne). We have not forgotten your Gil (Skykey), his comments and his stories. He is truly missed but is memory lives on here and I hope that all of your memories bring you joy, peace, and comfort.
The adorable is strong with this one.
Also, I have to figure out if it’s possible to post a video on Instagram: “Ember Vs. Box.” It kept her entertained for two solid hours last night until the Boy got irritated with the noise and took it away from her.
Thank you everyone who sent on kind words about Carla yesterday; responding to each of you was more than I could bear, but I read every comment (and tried to at least “like” them all so you knew I had), and printed out many of them to share with my mom. Sadly, the vet agreed that Carla was most likely in pain and that there was nothing more we could do, and we made the terrible decision to send her on ahead. We miss her greatly, but know she is no longer hurting, and will love her always.
Beatrix and The Baby – Napping Newbies!
It tends to be contagious.
Not specific to today’s strip but I’m too excited not to post – my copy of Lupin Leaps In is on its way to me right now! Should be in my hands within the next hour!!!! Wheeeee!
I just remembered to change my BCN calendar & Lupin is really rockin’ that green striped suit!!!
It’s more than an epidemic – it’s a ’Nap-idemic"!
OK, do we have synchronized napping in the living room? Will they both roll over to keep the poses matched? Stay tuned!
I see a potential documentary series: “What To Do When a Nap Attack Happens.”
Many similarities between human and feline kittens.
You know a comic is good when the page gives you a queue full message.
Good morning everyone!!! It’s our second book birthday! ‘Lupin Leaps In’ is officially out in the world today! Hopefully your pre-orders will be arriving shortly! You can find it in bookstores, (request it from your local bookshop if they don’t have it! Independent bookshops are amazing and can hunt down just about anything for their customers!) It is also on Indie Bound, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon! If I could ask a favor, good reviews on Amazon and/or Good Reads can help a new book so much! If you’ve got a moment to spare and a kind word or two to give for a review, I would so appreciate it!
I hope you enjoy the new book!!! I had so much fun putting it together, especially all the extras for the “more to explore” section in the back!
Off Topic: Cat update.
Naps are epidemic with cats involved. Once a cat or two is holding you down (against you will of course) , the purring is like an instant knock out drug. No need to resist.
Is the news desk far enough away that Lupin has a hope of escaping the epidemic and continuing to bring us live coverage?
IT’S IN MY HOT LITTLE PAWS! WHOO-HOO!
Off topic: Mardi Gras
The Cat Network’s “Nap Watch” special report is much more interesting than when the other networks have Storm Watch.
The mail came early. It’s HERE! The paper dolls and clothes are wonderful. I’m going to see if I can scan them without breaking the spine. For those wondering about where it ends, the final report is “There’s a New Toy in the Bathroom,” which made its first appearance on August 31, 2015. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!" Thank you Georgia!
Squeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! I Believe In Mailmen! I Believe In Mailmen! My copies (yes, plural) of “Lupin Leaps In” have arrived. Pucky was right! Mailmen do exist!
I went to the original site to look for something and discovered it’s been updated with links to “Lupin Leads in.” One of the links shows the robber mice in the middle of a bowl of popcorn!
Lupin has leapt into our house!!! Woooohoooo!!!
Animom4 Got 2 copies today in mail (one for my best friend’s 10 year old grandson and one for me) Sat down and read half right away. It is great! I chuckled on almost every page. I can’t wait to give the other book to him. He saw the first book and just fell in love with BCN. I didn’t know if I would keep one for myself, but no way am I giving both away. I’m keeping it for myself—Just love it! Thanks, Georgia!
