Yay, I mean, oh poor kitty, but yay!
There she is! (shuts mouth to keep from squealing)
I love Puck there. He’s barely visible under all those blankets!
She’s back. If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go hyperventilate with excitement in a corner somewhere.
Oh my Cat! Look at those paws!!!
“Puck here, live in a pile of blankets,” is a favourite on-location sign-on.♥
The void is way too cold for one lonesome cat. I feel sorry for her.
Okay, you all know something but you’re not telling. I gather a new female cat is about to be introduced from the void?
Yea!! Here she comes.
I love end-of-the-world marshmallow cocoa jamborees with piles of fuzzy blankets and cats! Just arrange to have everything necessary for the next few days within easy reach and you’re set. (If it weren’t for those pesky bathroom breaks!)
Oh oh oh! It’s …..! (shuts mouth!) Elvis, turn around and look; you’ll get a pleasant surprise! On a different note, GUNG HEE FAT CHOY (Happy Chinese New Year) to everyone! It is now the Year of the Pig (although I personally feel every year should be the Year of the Cat!)
Cocoa and marshmallows are a better way for the world to end than fire, ice, a bang, or a whimper.
…and the world is so BIG!
Puck, like a void in the desert. And, Elvis? Big surprises come in little packages from the void…
Umm, Elvis? Behind you! Realzies!
“Behind you” (in best panto whisper)
Welcome, little one. We’ve been waiting for you!
Elvis, for Cat’s sake, turn around, TURN AROUND!!!! The little kitty is so desperately alone and c-c-c-c-cold!
SQUEEEEEEEEE!!! Elvis, behind you!! <3
Long ago, we had a mother cat who had just delivered in our yard during winter. We moved them inside. Unfortunately, one of her babies didn’t make it, but the rest found a furever home.
Please let her in so she can join in, what a lovely way to spend a wintery day XXX
Oh My CAT! There’s a pair of ears attached to a little furry face outside!!!!
Quick…Put up the “BREAKING NEWS” banner and go to news desk
Oh, I want to just pluck her out of the void and cuddle her.
I wonder if Georgia enjoys the comments.
Let Tommy in!
Georgia posted a photo of Goldie and The Boy looking out at freshly fallen snow.
Also, an adorable video of The Girl reading a story from “Lupin Leaps In.”
Happy Bluesday, everyone! Quick, Elvis, turn around and poof and screech like you’ve never screeched before!
HOT COCOA MAKES EVERYTHING BETTER!
There she is…….Miss America♪
I feel like popping open a bottle of champagne to celebrate, but must work first for money to buy it! Sorry boys but you’re just the supporting cast today.
Also, Georgia, I swear, if you make this story follow real events, I will be so MAD!
And will they let Tommy come in and have some hot chocolate?
I want a Pengo shirt, too!
Oh! My favorite character!!!
you must love blankets
Is that a penguin?
Cold snowy day
Who’s coming our way?
Tap on the pane
Meeting an old friend once again.
Lovely to see you again, my friend
Love from the orb we all to you send.
Cold void of fear is blowing away
Now that you’re here, you’re going to stay, ‘cause it’s
Tell us how you’ve been
Since the last time we saw you
Where adventures abound
The Moody Blues: Lovely to See You
Yesterday, there was nothing outside. Today, there’s someone outside. Tomorrow?
‘Very chilly’ reception, so far there, Elvis. Let everyone have hot cocoa!! :)
You know, it always seems to be Elvis who is the one who needs to turn around and take note of the things that have popped up behind him. This never seems to be a problem for Puck or Lupin.
The existential nothingness brings forth a kitten….what would Sartre think of this?
I love coping with cocoa. Homemade, from a package, it doesn’t matter, as long as there are plenty of marshmallows. I also love coping with chocolate… or cake… or rum… really, I’m very easy to please!
So happy this arc is finally happening! Every time Elvis would report from in front of a window in winter, I would hold my breath.
Poor little [Name deleted for newer readers]! I’ve been waiting for this storyline for ages!
I would really hate to have to name my favorite BCN strip, but this one would right at the top. Of course so would ALL of the others.
I’d forgotten the snowy day leads to this.
In panel 2, what’s a marshallow?
Yay! I was just thinking this past weekend that it must be time for Beatrix to appear, and there she is!
We found our cat McKayla on a rainy November night 18 years ago. She was under my Father’s car and shivering. She road to my home, curled up on my shoulder. I have been her person ever since.
Major Elvis poofage is about to happen right now…
I love the two little ears popping up in the second panel. I didn’t notice them at first. Then the big sad eyes hoping that someone would see her and take care of her. Whoever is peeling onions will PLEASE go do it somewhere else. You are fogging up my screen.
No spoilers but…look out the window! I’m so happy to see her again.
Check out Today’s Special: a Lupin Leaps In preview!
Possible SPOILER below.
A forlorn kitten is at the window. She must be saved.
You know, this whole commentary is a tribute to Georgia’s storytelling and her ability to create characters we all care about. Even in “re-runs”, we enjoy seeing once again that Elvis finds his way home, then helps Tommy, that Puck gets Buzzy back, and that [spoiler] comes to the Big Pink House to [spoiler] and steal our hearts. And, as I mentioned after Elvis’s Christmas story, we all want to explain to the newer readers that all will be well.
I am back into the Orb and back at work, thank Bast, from what seemed like a never-ending attack of [what I think is rheumatoid] arthritis. Better now. I have spent the last five days in severe pain while clearing out a storage unit by myself. (I had to drive a lot, so couldn’t use MMJ. Don’t know if it would even have done much good.) Between the Feb. 4 deadline (so I wouldn’t get charged another month), a family emergency, and the stupid pain I couldn’t work or do anything else. I’ve got another one to go but I may have help with it. I think this was caused by the weather (cold, heavy rain, not snow). I’ve rarely been in so much pain in my life. I do not recommend it. I am just thankful to be able to sit up and get back to work and not do anything physical. I haven’t read the Orb thoroughly yet but I see that some people have had surgery and are looking at cancer and other diagnoses, you know I will be purring for you. May Bast prosper you.
Turn around Elvis – bright eyes – every now and then she falls apart
Turn around every now and then she gets a little bit terrified
And the she sees the look in his eyes
Total Eclipse of the Heart – Bonnie Tyler
squee it worked!
I don’t know what happens next, but I feel the need to squeal somehow. I could use a few marshmallows in my life, floating in cocoa.
Awww look at the kitty in the last panel!
Yay, I’ve been waiting for this arc…
