So glad the guys are willing to volunteer and eat all the bacon.

Thankfully I just have one cat, so she can’t gang up on me, but this reminds me of one time when I was cooking bacon. She walked into the kitchen, sniffed the air, and the way she meowed, I swear she went “Meat? Meat! MEEEAAAT!!!!” The next step was trying to trip me, in the hopes that it would make me drop some of that delicious bacon.

Recycling some material here, and why not? It’s good stuff, and deserves extra exposure.

Love it. Like a visit from an old friend. The art is beautiful, the panels are dense with nuance that rewards close observation. Warms the heart. I am so glad this exists.

This is one of my very favorite gags from the old format. It warms my heart to see it in traditional newspaper format now. I really hope the new readers are loving it as much as the long-time readers are. :-)

I have a tail and pointy ears… Maybe she’ll give me some bacon if she doesn’t look too closely…

What is wrong with my cats?? They don’t care about bacon and don’t come running when I open a can of tuna or salmon. Where did I go wrong?

I don’t know how my two would behave around bacon, because I don’t cook it. BUT, when I make a ham sandwich for lunch, I have beggars underfoot. I do share about a quarter’s size for each.

We have at least one cat that’ll snag stuff off your plate & run off, growling. And we DO feed her!

Very happy that she is in newspapers now, but disappointed it’s going backwards to catch up new readers. Oh well, get to enjoy again!!

I loved the artwork of the original strips but I’m loving this even more. She has improved in the past three years. I just looked at the original strip and I notice a plot point in the new one. She didn’t look pregnant in the original, but now she definitely is. Obviously building towards the birth of Toddler.

Somebody was in my kitchen this morning. The smell of bacon in the air and the kitties were all underfoot and on the counter and one got on top of the fridge. BACON!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had the same problem yesterday. Just me 2 lamb chops, 5 cats and a Weimaraner. I was so out numbered.

Wow, the art looks positively gorgeous! Love the daily strips (and I think they look great in and of themselves), but so happy we still get to see the beautiful watercolor art too!

I am a vegetarian, but my partner is not. Is so funny how one of our cats will come rushing to the kitchen when he hears someone clattering about, and he gets further excited upon seeing that it’s my boyfriend (Hey, whatcha got? Whatcha got?)—but if he sees that it’s me, I get what can only be described as a cat eye-roll as he sulkily walks away.

Jingle Belle Kat was underfoot yowling as I was making tuna fish salad last night. I put down the empty can (with a little residue still inside and she stuck her face right in it (while ignoring her dish of canned cat food that was RIGHT BESIDE HER…)

YAY!! I just discovered Breaking Cat News a couple days ago, and read all the way through the strips on WordPress before finding this! I haven’t used my GoComics page in five years. I am amazed it is still here, now that I have discovered a great comic to follow on it! Go Puck! My favorite little reporter!
