One of ours brought in a big rat once and let it go! I said, “We’re moving.” Husband caught the poor thing in a big snaptrap. Rat got done wrong every which way between the cat and us.

That’s not a rat, that’s a possum! Careful when you pick him up. He may be playing possum.

We had a cat that would sing when she caught a really good prize

Problem was that she was an indoor cat that never killed anything bigger than a moth

Her proudest songs were the time that she got ahold of a chicken breast off the counter, and the time she “caught” a tablecloth and tried dragging it down the hall

If she hadn’t sang about it she would have got away with the chicken, and I have no idea what she was planning to do with the tablecloth

My former neighbor’s cat caught a chipmunk and turned it loose in her apartment. She never found the chipmunk.

In theory, cats do that to say, “You guys really ought to be doing this more.”
