Zeppelin’s or Sedaka’s version?
There is always that one guy! :))
They should post a “No Stairway To Heaven” sign just like in “Wayne’s World.”
“Put a penney in the drum…Save another drunken bum,….Halleluya, Halleluya,Put a penny in the drum and you’ll be saved”
Play Highway To Hell.
No, play “Hotel California”!
Ask and ye shall receive
Just another overplayed ‘classic’ song. Ugh.
An old joke, but I like it: A “Stairway to Heaven” and a “Highway to Hell” tells us a lot about traffic going each way.
I’ve still got a peaceful easy feeling.
Just tune in to any classic rock station and if they aren’t already playing Stairway to Heaven, it will be the very next song.
Throw a couple of Ben’s in the pot, I suspect they’ll try for you.
Just remember, the Salvation Army is a church, not a charity. They are politically just to the right of the Franklin graham/Jerry Falwell, jr and Pat Robertson ilk of churches. They are homophobic, transphobic and brown skinned people phobic and religious bigots. They joined the Hobby Lobby suit and even deny help and comfort to brown skinned people in their programs. Jesus would throw them out of the temple.
Someone should request the two songs in which the Salvation Army Band are actually mentioned: “Hazy Shade Of Winter” by Simon And Garfunkel/Bangles, and “Life In A Northern Town” by Dream Academy.
Pat Boone’s version on his album “In a Metal Mood: No More Mister Nice Guy.”
Play “Freebird” for me!
I’m totally gonna try this if I ever see one of those bands!
