Riley: You know, Granddad says he remembers what life was like before the internet. Huey: Riley, I remember what life was like before the internet. Riley: Fogie. Huey: Shut up.
Boy, is this one dated now. Comic-strip Huey was ten years old in 1999, which means that he realistically would be likely to recall life before Grandad decided to hook up to the information superhighway. (remember that term? =) ) He’d likely only had it for a couple of years. But now? This comment would just be bizarre to a ten year old in 2014.
But of course, Huey is still ten years old in 2014. Ah, comic-strip time….
