The Boondocks by Aaron McGruder for August 17, 2010
Transcript:
Huey: Soon our nation will pause and celebrate the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. We will reflect on his legacy and his wisdom. Who can forget when he said, "Violence against your fellow man is never the answer..." "...Unless you suspect your fellow man has a weapon tha you yourself have but don't want him to have, then you should bomb the bejeezus out of 'em!" Caesar: Stop that.

Just as Iran is going to start their reactor! How much will oil go up if thee is even a “surgical strike”?
jhouck99 about 14 years ago
@Potrzebie: Israel made a surgical strike on Iraq’s nuclear power plant, Osirak, in June 1981. The price of crude oil remained at $35 from April 1981 to January 1982.
Times have changed, but I’d bet it wouldn’t cause a major change in the price of oil…

Wow, jhouck. I had no idea that nuclear power plants produced such a negligible amount of oil 30 years ago! Or maybe it’s that Iran just wasn’t exporting its electricity all over the world yet then.
