Fun fact: snapping turtles will jump up to snap at you while you are attempting to rescue them out of busy roads. They can attain a decent range too. I felt bad as I was likely hurting it a bit in my attempt to lug them over the curb (in my work clothes no less) but my hopes were that I was doing less damage than a car would.
