Scientist, space exploration booster, and host of the original Cosmos TV series, Carl Sagan, was born on this day in 1934. Though he passed at the age of 62 in 1996, those he's inspired -- among them Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey host Neil deGrasse Tyson -- remember November 9th as Carl Sagan Day. After all, Sagan helped popularize... the universe.
Sagan, a professor at Cornell University, worked on the space program as a consultant and adviser to NASA. He helped theorize why certain planets work the way they do, and penned numerous award-winning books. We hear he was also a pretty good dancer, but that's neither here nor there.
We've collected seven Sagan-inspired comics for the occasion, which you can explore below.
