That looks like it ended quickly…

…but there’s always hope.

Well, considering Brianna’s motivate behind pursuing Nate to begin with, it’s probably for the best.

He had a chance, and blew it. This was the same character who was so obsessed with being in a relationship that he was even willing to start one with Dee Dee when she brought up wanting to have a boyfriend.

No Nate, you’re not small, you’re just a big loser with a big ego who destroys all the beautiful things that could have come into your life.

Definitely didn’t expect that one coming

Well, thankfully he didn’t try getting a girlfriend to improve his social image.

When Dee-Dee said somebody like d him, I thought it would be another girlfriend arc.

This sort of relationship never would have worked out, so Nate really dodged a bullet there. It is often said that like repels like, and opposites attract; as can be seen from Brianna’s need to get in the last word, she is quite egotistical herself, which would be incompatible with Nate’s own self-conceit. Furthermore, her very reason for being attracted to Nate is inherently questionable.

It’s not discriminating, until it is…..

I really liked before Trudy when nate would do all sorts of things to impress Jenny, those were always funny to me. now nate doesn’t really like anyone and just wants a gf to have a gf.

I see some people saying that he should “give her a chance.” That sounds good in theory. But imagine it happening. “I like you for your personality, but I don’t like your looks.” That’s not praise. Nobody wants to date somebody who finds them… visually unappealing, so to speak.And honestly, giving people a chance is for when you have some interest to begin with. You can’t date somebody just to be fair.

Nate has no shame

Nate did the right thing. One, you should enter into relationships because of compatible personalities and/ or physical attraction, not superficial attributes. Brianna was only interested in Nate because he’s short, not because of who Nate is. Two, never apologize for your preferences. Yes, Brianna preferred Nate because of his height (or lack thereof compared to hers) but that was her only reason. Nate was honest with her without being cruel. He showed maturity there.

I don’t blame him for not wanting to date her. He’s got enough nick names going around.

I don’t blame Nate. I mean, yeah this was his chance to get a girlfriend, but that’s not the reason Brianna chose him. Brianna only chose because he was short, there are plenty of thing noticeable about Nate but the only thing Brianna saw was that he was short. Although Nate is not short, there are plenty of other “short” boys but Brianna chose Nate.
