Nate thinking is irrational; sure, his costume is certainly aesthetically pleasing considering the fact that it was made by a middle school student (or he bought it), but it is certainly unlikely that he would go Trick-or-Treating during late October, when the nighttime temperature can dip as far as 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It is even more disturbing that Marty allowed Nate to celebrate Halloween in that kind of attire. Speaking of Marty, it’s uncommon for a Halloween strip to NOT feature Marty’s awkward Halloween treat selection, so this is a nice breath of fresh air. However, is Teddy supposed to be a cowboy? His costume design seems rather thoughtless when compared to his companions, who each chose specific characters from media.
