You do realise just when you understand all the rules – we’re going to change them, right?

I was under the impression that the day started without set rules, and they were made up as things went along.

I’ve never really bought into Valentine’s day for years. I guess because my present BF and I show each other how much we appreciate each other EVERY DAY!!!! We don’t need 1 day to blow our money and sentiment on. I’ll stick with his and my idea of how we do Valentine’s day…it’s our day off.

SAINT Valentine’s day. After 37 years of marriage, my wife says, “St. Valentine’s day? Today? Really? Yawn.”

As if we needed an excuse to eat out. Also, he got me some chocolates and I got him a tractor calendar he wanted.

There seems to be a tendency to look for hidden meanings that simply aren’t there. I’m sure I’m guilty of it too, at least some of the time. Yes, sometimes things are not what they seem, or there is more to them than meets the eye. But it ain’t necessarily so. Besides, if you look too hard for what’s hidden — or maybe what isn’t — you can wind up missing the obvious.
