I see… so that’s the reason the catcher is wearing a football helmet?
Trucks use lower gears.
While you saved the bat by not swinging.
Depleted uranium baseballs
Grog’s been taking lessons from Bugs Bunny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKMYs-9LW2w
Momentum equals mass times velocity times a constant. Force is change in momentum divided by change in time. Must be a massive ball with antigravity to boot.
Could have been worse – go ask Charlie Brown…
Rules of physics? Poppycock! In comics, gravity and inertia make their OWN rules. ;-)
Can you bring back Anno Domini….
This comic theme is a reminder that the LLWS (Little League World Series) start this week on Wednesday, with 10 teams from the USA & 10 teams from other countries gathering in Williamsport, Pa. Most games will be televised on one of the ESPN channels (FWIW).
That’s the opposite of the steeds in yesterday’s Wizard of Id…. They had lots of speed, but no power.
Anybody here remember the old Paul Douglas-Ray Milland film, “It Happens Every Spring”? Great flick with about the same amount of . . .
Cavemen got picket fences!
Anything that slow I would’ve at least tried to hit.
It’s still a strike.
A definite strike – on the catcher.
Another comic depicting todays news! Yes it’s strike three Donnie Trump. Lol
Momentum… but in a moment. Waaait for it.
Home plate is backwards…
Pre Charlie Brown moment except this was the catcher instead of the pitcher.
S. T. R. I. K. E. O. N. E. ❗️❗️
The coach will chew him out for not swinging
Everybody beat me to it, Strike One.
Just what we needed: A lecture on physics in a comic. NOT!
If Charlie Brown were the catcher, he would have probably suffered the same outcome!
A Bugs Bunny pitch.
Gotta love cartoon physics.
Almost everyone understands Newtonian Physics – intuitively, if not mathematically. Quantum Physice is understood by far fewer, mostly by those with a post-graduate degree in the field. Comic Book Physics is far more esoteric still, usually accepted as a matter of faith with little attemp at true understanding.
I’d think he would put the ball in his mouth and spit.
Not for a Louisville slugger. OUT!
Anyone else notice that home plate is backwards?
He throws a heavy ball.
The humidity will do that…thick air…slows down movement.
Well THAT explains the catcher with the football helmet!
Why didn’t he try to hit it?
