It’s key that the enemy doesn’t gather intel about your predicament

They’ll send you to summer school if they find out.

Maybe you could do farm work.

Too bad social media and video games haven’t been invented yet.

When I was a child, we didn’t have the internet and I was never bored. There’s a big wide world out there to explore.

They ARE the entertainment, they’re in a ant farm, which is why we can see them.

Telling your parents you’re bored is a good way to get more chores

That’s the old tactic that has worked for generations.

If the folks know the kids are bored, they’ll just find some hard work that needs to be done (i.e. Mow and Trim the Lawn. When you’re done you can clean out the garage).

There are worse things than being bored.

Boredom is actually good for kids. Constantly being entertained, worked, or programmed gives them very little chance to develop their own creativity and self-reliance.

One word. Chores………..

They’re bored…funny, they don’t look like pieces of wood…

Social media and video games are what is wrong with our culture. We didn’t stay in the house all summer. We went OUTSIDE and PLAYED. Rode bikes around the neighborhood, built forts, etc.Played football, baseball, flew kites and on and on.Even if we never left the yard, you could find something to do. Catch bugs and other critters, put them in glass jars or terrariums. Or, if stuck indoors because of the weather, there were model kits to build, board games to play, or even read a book. Cartoons on Saturday morning. School shootings were unheard of. No one would have even dreamed of bringing a weapon to school. Sad, sad times we now live in..

Most folks have plenty of “lessons to teach” and “character” to build with bored kids.

Better to be bored to the snore than to have ants in the pants…

Unbelievable! Ants at that time had bulbous noses!!

I can’t remember ever being bored during summer break… and I was a kid before 24/7 activity scheduling

It only takes one to play Frisbee golf against your last best score

Bored? I didn’t know the word when I was a young lad

The biggest problem since the advent of social media is obesity.

Ya let ‘em know, they’ll find something not fun for you to do…

I never understood kids being bored during the summer. During summer vacations when I was a kid (1960’s), it seemed like there were always plenty of great things to do, and the summer was over all too soon.

They know it.

I always kept busy somehow as a kid. Models, exploring, making things from scratch, taking apart the lawn mower, put it back together then hope dad didn’t figure it out when he went to mow the lawn….etc etc…

Growing up, my kids learned quickly that saying, “I’m bored” led to chores.

I’m sure the kid ants will find something to do with themselves eventually.
