One time I was 4 panels.

He left to soon. The fish will be biting in panel Four.

“I’m bored. Hand me a….. What? We forgot the beer? I’m outta here.” (LEAP* SPLASH!).

Maybe he bailed because the fishing effort was floundering.

One vulture to another- “Patience my a$$, I’m going to kill something!”

Is he swimming away? Or is he being pulled in by a huge fish on his hook?

Calvin and Hobbes has the same theme today. Is it some kind of fishing holiday?

Did he just break the forth wall?

First time I went fishing was at age 9. Fell in the lake. Have not fished since.

If you think that the purpose of fishing is to catch fish, maybe you should try another activity.

I don’t fish and I don’t golf. I guess that explains why I’m not retired.

In golf, I hit the ball AND fish for it. How’s that for leisure enjoyment?

Try the manly art of noodling.

Years ago, some old friends and I found a new use for our retired casting gear. We placed old bike inter tubes around the yard, tied on practice plugs, and bet on which of us could place a plug in a numbered circle on the first cast. Took us a while to get it right but it was fun trying and, naturally, the process required a beer or two for consolation over the misses — or the hits — whichever.

Did he just take a dip because of boredom or was he pulled in by a huge fish? LOL

If he is aware of there being panels, is he aware of himself in the other panels? Could he speak to himself in the previous panel or perhaps even the first panel?

This is the second strip I see today about fishing (the fisrt one was Calvin & Hobbes)

Anyone else wants to comment that a similar theme was used in Calvin and Hobbes?
