It can be hard to insure a taxi. I once ended up insured by a company based on Grand Cayman that covered my legal obligation to have insurance but not much else. About that time there was a bank scandal & I think I bought nukes for Pakistan.
In the city where I was born there was a shoe repair shop that never had any customers but was always open. A friend one day walked in and asked to have a pair of shoes repaired. The three men in the store looked rather confused. The man behind the counter did take the shoes and write up a ticket. A month later the shoes were finished. Inside was a second repair ticket from a shop in Sicily. Hmmm…
