Herschel comes and goes, depending on Lucille’s state of mind.

I’m perplexed whether should i consider this good or bad news

News to Herschel…although the person in the mirror is looking a little old lately. Almost didn’t recognize him yesterday. He didn’t remember getting earrings either…..

“Herschel, do you realize that you are alone reading the paper?

He certainly is the most sane looking person I’ve seen in the cartoon.

That probably means “real” is unusual on Ballard Street.

Agnes, you know you have to switch him to a different program to understand that!

“Some of them are reading this cartoon.”

Agnes was definitely a Stepford failure.

Gaslighting him out of existance.

There’s enough truth here to leave me saddened.

“Well, I don’t know where they would have gotten that idea…”

He knows that. He enjoys being invisible, most of the time.

I think Helen has put too much gin in her tea.

“Just ignore them. They don’t exist either.”

“But they do. I’m talking to them now.”

Oh darn Lucille, I try hard to conceal it!

This happens every time I read Ballard Street in the comics section, Hershel says to himself..

Herschel disappears in a puff of logic.

I performed comedy reports on the radio under my own name, as That Guy from Gila Bend. It did get me a few crank calls at home from people who thought That Guy was a real person. :) ??

She gotta be stoned. Lol
