I did not know that “engaging in the present” was such a source of concern to Mr. Van A.

And oh, doesn’t Cleo look ravishing? What man wouldn’t be willing to kill – or be killed – for her?

What a natural role for Cleo! Purplie nails and eyes work perfectly with the part. And what a tiny mouth! You would never guess that she is a kibble-devouring machine!

Neal, wouldn’t it be less messy to bonk yourself on the finger with a hammer?

Oh gosh… oh my….

I didn’t realise I hadn’t left a comment here about our gathering tonight….

I know all you regulars can find Cleo with ease….

But just in case there are any lurking newcomers who wonder what we’re discussing….

And as for Cleo…

I love this poster!

We saw it last June… I remember well….

For some reason I couldn’t post here that night….

But I remember wondering whether it was for a film or a play….

cos it looks to me to be about a stage production…..

especially since Cleo produced it herself, as her own starring vehicle,

wherein she plays another, older, actress…

the famed, and immortal, Theda Basset.

showing a human actress, herself imitating, but not crediting, the great Theda Basset….

You can see that she’s far less well equipped for the role,

possessing neither Ms. Bassets deep jowls, nor her lovely long brown ears.

Her nose, too, is much too small and unprepossessing.

No one can wear the Royal Purplie like Cleo Clifford!

Aahh, the claw polish & the eye shadow, just gorgeous!!!

Now I’ve got the urge to walk like an Egyptian or watch a video of Steve Martin doing King Tut.

I would like to point out when Cleopatra was on its “first run” at the Kibble Theatre, nighthawks said Cleo’s fingernails were lavenderish.
