Ah, it’s the would’ve-been one hundred first birthday of the writer of Dennis the Menace! I Almost couldn’t tell with the girls’ art form nor read the small square in the final panel. ¡Bien hecho, los señores Cantú y Castellanos!

I’m surprised that so many people didn’t immediately recognize this as a Dennis-the-Menace tribute. Maybe after they’ve been reading comics for seventy years.

Why wasn’t this done last year for the 100th? Perhaps because in 2020 March 14 was a Saturday? Or perhaps C&C just didn’t notice in time. In any case, I’m happy to see the tribute.

I KNEW the artist was different, but it took me a while to catch the Hank Ketcham reference – Dennis the Menace. VERY well done; thanks.

It’s apt that they’re giving tribute to Hank Ketcham while also giving Gracie a passing resemblance to Gina Gillotti.

Very nice tribute. I recognized the Hank Ketcham style/format immediately. But my initial response was, “What the heck? A guest artist?”

Looks like Tia Carmen is talking to Dennis’s mom in the first panel.

I recognized the cartoon of Dennis The Menace’s mom in the first panel but didn’t understand the significance until reading Templo’s comment.

Ah, that’s why! :-)
