My mother has six sons and two daughters. Of course she loves her daughters in law. They evened out the numbers. Seriously, I know that my wife talks to my mother more than she could with her own mother.

It IS nice to be appreciated — or so I hear.

Many years ago (decades actually) my mother-in-law privately thanked me for marrying her daughter. She said I took such good care of her and her grandchildren and that meant alot to her. Meant the world to me.

It’s a very good thing to have a mother-in-law like Janis.

Wish I would have had that kind of relationship with my MIL, she was my best friend until me and her son got engaged and then she started treating me like crap because she didn’t like that I was taking her son from her, literally because he had a car and she didn’t and he did everything for her, over the years she became so toxic that we took her out of our lives or I thought we did, I did and he didn’t and kept it hidden for 3 1/2 years that he was talking to her and seeing her and spending time with her again and she is the one who helped encourage him to walk out on me and file for divorce. Now I hate both of them so much and wish I would never had gotten involved with them.

This is possibly my favorite mother in law/daughter in law depiction ever and I treasure it.
