K. T. Oslin just died recently. I guess this is a tribute to her.
Good-bye to K.T. Oslin
Oh, we’ve said “I do”And we’ve signed “I don’t”And we’ve sworn we’d never do that again.Oh, we burned our brasAnd we burned our dinnersAnd we burned our candles at both ends.
80’s Ladies – K T Oslin
And what will Arlo be content with?
I’m surprised Arlo hasn’t made one of his quirky observations.
Do you still get a thrill When ya see me comin’ up the hill?
Honey, now DO YA?
Did you ever feel like you walked into the wrong house and you don’t recognize anything?
P2: In spite of the fire, the room is apparently a bit chilly.
Not to mention that good bras are expensive.
Next is burning dinner!
Bras are expensive >D
Arlo, carpe diem! Or something …
Keep Trying? Kudzo T_tt__s (i.e. some bug got into Janis’ undergarments)? If it’s about K. T. Oslin, I was unaware that she was an activist for women’s liberation, whether political or physical.
K. T. Oslin – had to look her up. I rarely listen to music and Dolly is as close to Country as I get.
She’s taking her bra off from under her shirt? If it’s that easy then why is my wife always asking for help? …oh
But can she do that without taking her arms out of her sleeves?
I never understood how burning one’s bras, so they end up with pendulous tits banging against their knees and terrible back aches was supposed to send anybody important any kind of lesson except “these women are daffy”…
Nice headlight in panel 2
Those things are too expensive to burn! LOL
Guess one would have to be an 80s C&W fan to have any clue about this
k t walked to the “Left” of life. Her music mostly blew by me, but I loved her attitude.
I loved the song “80’s Ladies”. I would play it over and over on my cassette player. How’s that for aging myself? A lot of things I would change in my 60+ years but would never want to do it all over again.
Better not burn it. Those things are expensive, and priceless if you find one that’s comfortable – at least according to my wife.
Oh, we burned our bras,
And we burned our dinners
And we burned our candles at both ends.
- lyrics from 80s Ladies
I think I speak for most men, that activity leading up to magically pulling one’s bra out the sleeve armhole is one of the most fascinating things to watch.
K.T. Oslin. One of my favourite country singers. “Do ya?” is a great song. Also “Come Next Monday”. Her songwriting really struck home with people over a certain age.
I can understand it being symbolic – wife has needed to buy some new ones and those things are expensive!
COVID-19 does kill people.
Is it just me, or did more people notice panel 2, than knew K. T Oslin?
You know you are old when you not only don’t know current celebrities, you don’t even know the ones from thirty years ago
I don’t get it….
Huh? Don’t get it.
Dolly Parton’s brother Andy appeared on the one episode of her 1970s TV variety show I saw, and reported that he had joined Women’s Lib; but since he didn’t have a bra of his own to burn … Took the whole fire department to put it out.
Doesn’t Arlo read an implied invitation for a continental breakfast when it’s practically thrown at him?
Great, talented, funny, charming woman. She will be missed. https://youtu.be/vU07aqkZ_us
And the game is about to begin.
Will Jimmy be morose in about four hours, or will “Buckeye Nation” be on the verge of dissolution?
How do women whip those off without taking off the shirt first? It’s a mystery to us dudes.
Is it weird that, just to the right of this thread of comments, my browser just popped up a Macy’s add for, you guessed it, bras?
