Mr. Bain: I have some weed killer that would be easier!
Janis: These are wildflowers, Mr. Bain!
Mr. Bain: I know! Weeds!! They'll take over!
Aww, Janis just has a way about her, doesn’t she?
Good one Janis! I heard that back in the day, she was the hippy chick that put daisies into the barrels of the National Guard men’s rifles, on campus…….In her diaphanous blouse, I imagine…….
“She knew that even the weeds were capable of doing miracles she never could.”- Emily Flim
Janis seem to be in a rather awkward position in panel 1.Arlo should have gotten her some knee pads or a garden kneeler for Mother’s Day.
Today’s Lio should be a caution to Janis.
I have been told a weed is anything growing in your yard you don’t want. By that definition, even a rose could be a weed if one popped up in your yard. (not likely)
A weed is a plant in the wrong place…….
Stick ’em in your hat, old man!
He’s lucky Janis is too ladylike to stick them up his nose!
Last panel: breaking the fourth wall comics style.
See they are already spreading.
♪♫ “I love the flower girl…” ♪♫
Or, as I have heard it said, “A weed is just a flower growing in the wrong place.”
They were here first — the humans took over!
The phrase is, “A rose is a weed in a wheat field and wheat is a weed in a rose garden.”
Sportymonk, I have wild roses growing from my neighbour’s yard into parts of my yard where they are not wanted. So yes, roses can be weeds.
Grass is a weed in a field of dandelions!
Is his first name “Wolf”?
Another reason why I don’t date anymore. Old dudes are just so controlling and NO fun at all.
I love the dandelions and wild violets than grow in my yard. Very pretty…
Spread em Janis!!
@Comicsssfan. You’re projecting again aren’t you?
