If that was the Kinks’ “Lola” in the first panel, what’s in the final? (Andy seems like a radio: the song keeps changing.)
! Andy can be a real pain—all Day, and all of the Night!!
@Number SixToday’s strip is slightly funny but a repetition of a theme , our Hero Mr Andrew Capp’s singing is grating on your ears , but Andy’s knowledge of songs is amazing , maybe we could use the drunken sot for links like we used to do with Starlet:o) my avatar is a photo of how my right thumb looked before I was stupid and hurt it while closing my step ladder , how was your day , our Finally Friday should be very busy but not hectic I hope BCNU pal.
! Lots of People only know the 3 aforementioned Kinks songs, but They virtually invented the term “album track” [the Beatles were a bit to early to enjoy FM’s album-orients Rock (AOR)], because Their LP’s had no weak spots, or “filler”. The Kinks Magnum Opus was “The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society”, but ironically, that Disc was INITIALLY poorly received, and It took the pop-ier follow-up “Decline and Fall of the British Empire” [lead song: Victoria ] to make a career comeback. Now, “Village Green” is recognized as one of the greatest ever, and put frontman/Singer Ray Davies in company with McCartney/Lennon as a Songwriter.
At this point, Andy should just go Have a Cuppa Tea.
Not exactly a “well respected man about town” is Mr. Capp. Neither is he, apparently, “a dedicated follower of fashion”.
I think that was a request for “Far, Far Away”
I cannot believe what I just saw! Really, Andy dropped his beer…….GASP!
Warmed over leftover from yesterday
“but Northern Ireland will either stop sucking on the English welfare tit and become totally independent”
Remember THIS little ditty ? BBC banned it’s play anywhere it held sway.
So, until they let it go, serves them right to be bled, in the fashion that leaches do, that hang on the shark. And while we’re at it, what about those American Indians getting Social Security checks from the US gubmint ?.. [sarcasm font off]
Never thought I’d call Andy kinky.
Singing… till the end of the day.
I guess Aunt Fritzi isn’t the only cartoon character who uses a hairbrush as weaponry.
I bet he’d prefer Andy’s song would be “The Sounds of Silence.”
