Today’s strip IS funny , it’s the first time I have seen our Hero Mr Andrew Capp actually work , or else risk losing on boozing :o) have a nice day Cappers past and present.

It might be a good idea to check on the supply every so often.

Strip says 2019 but it MUST be a lot older than that as beer didn’t come in wooden kegs even when I was a kid :-)

Why not “empty” the kegs right there, Andy? Would make the truck much easier to push… ;)

And just like that, Andy Capp suffered a massive coronary and died.

Why not take the barrels off the truck and roll them to the pub (or home)?

That is a VERY unusual way to push a vehicle down the road… usually the pushers stand next to one another and put their effort on the TRUCK, not onto the one guy… ;-)

That is probably the most work that they have ever done.

Better to party at the scene of the breakdown.. saves a lot of work

Several Years ago a Bud Rep asked me to jump start his vehicle which I did. He bought me two Lite draws as that is what I was drinking & gave me a couple bottles of a new beer Bud had come out with. Even thou I’d get headaches (from the rice supposedly) I still like/liked the taste/flavor of Bud.

Nothing shall keep Andy Capp from his Pint.

Points for visual humor today (for a change), and I’m not even going to denigrate the usual two-dimensional-standing-in-single-file thing (for a bigger change!) To these clods, the way they’re pushing the truck is logical, and it makes the cartoon funnier. And bonus points for the copper not needlessly breaking the fourth wall! Probably the best Andy of the year, so far.

They might make better progress if the two guys in the back would put their shoulder to the truck instead of pushing on poor Andy’s back.

Every time a see a sign for the Rose and Crown, I am reminded of the late great actress/vaudevillian “Two Ton Tessie” O’Shea singing “Saturday Night At The Rose and Crown”.

Nice to have help when you need it. The best part is, he’s probably saving a bundle on gas.

What’s going to happen if Andy, Chalkie and the other guy are NOT offered free beer as a thank you?
