Growing up, we kept the thanksgiving turkey in the unheated garage, which was plenty cold enough, until ready to roast. One year, the cat and dog conspired to push the roasting pot off the table, open the latches, and consume the raw turkey. I’m pretty sure the the cat was the mastermind.
