Do it for yourself, not company.

We’re not either! In fact, aside of the still-constant worry, the pandemic hasn’t changed our home life much…. We finally had a friend over (mostly outside!) around this Labor Day, and that’s only because he was moving to Europe!

My family was never the “drop in anytime” type either….

I’d call that a happy life

My room is far from an HGTV magazine but it makes me happy! So if the three office chairs, not counting the one you use Makes you happy, then go for it.

I once had a door sign, that said, ‘This room is certified Messy- Enter at your own Risk!’

I have two office chairs and a reading chair in my office. One office chair I sit in while I work, the reading chair is where I journal, brainstorm, etc. and the second office chair is for the cats so that they let me sit in the first office chair. Ha ha!

Editing reality is much harder than editing video.

I’ve never really had a house that was conducive to entertaining. We’ve always made it comfortable for ‘us’. Have the family over occasionally and that’s enough. Whenever I think I’m weird, it’s comforting to know that many of my comic family are the same way.

I call it Event-driven Cleaning now. When I was a kid we cleaned house every Saturday. And we picked up the TV room quickly 15 minutes each night before my dad came home.

Your younger self surely is pedantic, ain’t?

Young Amanda, you say that like it’s a bad thing.

Our house is so small it’s easy to keep clean, except that one spare bedroom. That’s where everything get’s shoved and piled up. When company comes we just close the door.
