Alternate Alley Oop Chapter 23 “Alley Oop Space Rebel” (791) 11/17/2019 Sunday
The seven feet of memory metal leads Bex, Bobbins and Violet while they leave more sensor posts as they go following someone’s robotic sentinel.
Violet was wasting no time in putting out the sensor posts so that their trail will lead to one of the farms that have cattle, probably. Constable Barnaby has put the warning out to everyone’s computer and personal communications device.(One way anyone can be reached and found with the aid of the satellites generously open to them from the giant space port at a more sure and fast way than their poor communications mast erected in the geographic center of the colony.)
“Captain, what’s the nearest farm where we are moving?” Violet asks her boss lady.
“That would be the mysterious missus Lavinia Merton. The most recent person from Terra to move here.”
“Okay, she had been living in the Rand Enclave in the Holy American Empire before the change over from just the American Empire. Not a good fit for that place.” Said Capt. Medusa with further information.
“Okay then, I’ll fill you in later…”
Bex was designed to be an expert at doing multiple things at once each done well. So he-she is constantly monitoring many wave lengths including audio and random sounds.
Bex was also putting out the sensor posts at exactly 5 meters per. Violet tells him-her, but she-he knows when to almost at the same time. So it works out anyway.
Bex hears motion not too far away. But too far for the sensor posts to react to.

A mere 18 strips were added to the Archive this week. There are now 2,050 Hamlin strips spread over 13 years from Hamlin’s 40-year tenure on the strip. That pushes the Archive to just over 50% (50.4%) of the strips produced during those 13 years. I became aware of a problem with some of the 1946 strips being unable to open and have pointed this out to GO so hopefully this will be fixed.

“THE THEM AFFAIR”
“How am I supposed to fit in that?” Helen pointed to their car that seems to be a 2-seat vehicle.
“We can use your vehicle and follow ours.” Said Alley while Illya and Helen gets into her car and Alley will lead with the Piranha to a mobile substation brought in as back up.
Helen is well informed about Karl’s exploits he has faxed to her. He will get an earful from her on this action. Though she wonders if any of this will ever be treated as real not just some Inquirer story as his stories about vampires are.
While they are driving to the mobile UNCLE HQ the National Security Police (NSP) are inside tracking with portable orgonoscopes to locate the abnormal and dangerous ants. The bodies of the two dead officers were found terribly mutilated.
While one of the NSP officers and the coroner take statements from them, their ghosts, the rest move on to track and kill the monsters.
Fortunately the men’s souls stayed near to finish their job before leaving. They use a necroscope for the audio otherwise only a few with the ability would channel them. All is recorded and accepted in a court-of-law in the American empire and its protectorates like Saipan.

Ink Blot post from 8/22/2014: “So far, this story has run for under 7 weeks. It takes under 10 minutes to read the whole thing, from the archives. It is about half the length of a comic book. The story is developing apace, with no needless repetition or digressions. -The usual suspects are so fixated in their habitual criticism that they haven’t even noticed the plot and character development that’s taking place — not to mention the comedic aspects. In under two weeks, these grumpy critics began complaining that the story arc is taking too long. Possible explanations: 1. the critics have ADHD, and their Ritalin supply has run out; 2. the critics are unable to appreciate the subtleties of story telling — they just want Alley to jump in and bash people; 3. the critics are just randomly cutting and pasting old posts of theirs — and that’s why their “message” never seems to change.”
