I’ve got a reprint of that first Moon trip way back in 1949!!! Oscar Boom financed the project by having it televised through the time machine’s view screen.
Have there been any more Oop in space adventures in the intervening five decades?
Where is the color like on it Was on Comics.com
What happened to the colored strip???
I want colors!!!
Check out the archives – they appear to go back to May 16, but Sunday’s are dimmed out.
@ARF2 I have only recently begun reading Alley Oop (although I read him as a kid, I missed all the intervening years). Perhaps davidf42 will know the answer to your question when he shows up to comment – he’s a long time fan & quite knowledgeable.
Found Alley. Lost color.
What happened to the color?
If you want space discussions just wait until the rest us from comics.com start, let the fun begin. Missing colour is only a small issue from the previous website
Sorry for the black & white, everyone! We’re experiencing a minor technical glitch today. Alley Oop will be in color on GoComics. Thanks for your patience as we make things right!
We may not have color but at least we have the strip.
Thanks for the colors!!! I love Alley Oop strip!
I still received an e-mail from comics.com today and two e-mails from GoComics, one with all my previous GoComics strips and this one which has 2 days of some of the comics.com strip but is missing 3 of them. I wonder if I need to do something more to fully integrate them.
And now we have color!
Most of the rest of the comics.com strips have also shown up: 9CL, Grand Avenue, Tarzan, and others. Dilbert is still missing (go to Dilbert.com).
Am I the only one whose username and password got changed? And, the strip is considerably smaller than it used to be. This is not good.
As I recall, in late 40s and early 50s he went to the moon twice and once to Venus.
@ARF2—I’ve got that same collection. It’s great to see some of Hamlin’s originals. http://www.ilovecomixarchive.com/A/Alley-Oop has more of the classic strips. This is the second time I’m attempting to post this. don’t know if there’s some kind of delay before comments are accepted, or not. At least we don’t have to jump through the hoops of posting those five little drunken letters as we did at Comics.com
Better check in with the crew, that screen looks like they are spinning out of control.
Please never drop Alley Oop. He starts my day each morning. I have been reading the strip for about 74 years, but I still enjoy it.
Gee, My monitor is green and white… Maybe I should change??
Haven’t seen a green&white monitor for about 15 years! I think the amber&black ones were a lot cooler, though.
