In Texas they are against a woman’s right to say what is done to her body.

Cute. Wrong, but cute. Also not a quote, by the way: the other two clauses matter: life, LIBERTY and the pursuit of happiness. Those blobs of flesh aren’t people yet. And their mother should have the inalienable right to her own LIFE, LIBERTY and BODILY AUTONOMY.

Right, “Pro-Life” where you force the woman to carry a fetus, yet deny her funding for access to prenatal care, checkups, nutrition, or even help pay for hospital costs for delivery. After you force her to give birth to a child she didn’t want or couldn’t take care of in the first place, you then abandon her (as if you ever supported her in the first place), and cut funding for food, housing, education and tell her that the child is her responsibility and if she doesn’t raise it “right” she will be put in jail.

“Pro-Life” indeed. You don’t give a crap about the mother, and none really for the child.

A fetus doesn’t even have citizenship and it is treated that way. It’s just a weapon to enforce control over a woman and put them in their place.

BS. When I see these same conservatives line up to support programs that support the lives that are already living, I’ll believe their commitment. Until then, the ProLife movement is a lazy man’s cheap cause. It doesn’t cost them anything and it shifts the burden of THEIR morality to people that can least afford to manage it.

These same “pro”-lifers will take away food programs, education programs, job programs, healthcare programs, and government supported program that actually cares for a life.

    I’m ashamed for America.

If we make sure that every child is born, then it is our responsibility to see that every child has shelter, food, clothing, and a good education, at the minimum.

As usual, a complete misrepresentation of what a bunch cells look like. Later than that and they general happen to save the life of the mother because the fetus is already dead.

How could an unborn baby get a copy of the Constitution in there? Republicans would never allow it – it is a book to be banned. And Republicans don’t want children to be able to read – it interferes with their desire to produce the poorly educated voters that they love…

To most conservatives, The Unborn are like soldiers in combat, they are honored until they are born and when the soldier is killed in battle. Once the baby is born or the soldier is only wounded and maimed, they become an expensive burden and a nuisance to be ignored.

That baby is already full term and not subject to being aborted. Non viable fetuses before 24 weeks is what we are mostly talking about. The importance of the word viable is that there are instances after 24 weeks that a non viable fetus may need to be aborted to save the woman’s life.

Of course, pro lifers care nothing about life, as they are truly pro birthers. After birth they don’t care if the woman or baby dies, only that it was carried to term.

I’m sure the slaves would’ve argued the same thing had they been allowed to read back then. Conservatives love selectively arguing rights when it only suits their preferences and not what should be universal to all. They weren’t hopping mad when Trump Admin forcibly separated legitimate families at the border then deported them separately causing families to lose track of their children.

Those lines (“right to life”) are not in there, but maybe these would make more sense: “when a long train of abuses and usurpations [by the conservatives], pursuing invariably the same Object [of denying the right to abortion] evinces a design to reduce them [women] under absolute Despotism, it is their [a woman’s] right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government….”

    Blastocysts are not alive.

If the neural synapses have not yet been created and linked up, it is not alive.

It can’t think, it can’t feel, it is not a person, it cannot be “killed”.

It is the very same as a cancer – cells multiplying until they are removed.

Don’t pretend unliving things are alive.

I don’t think the wealthy and the mistresses of Republican politicians will have a problem getting an abortion – they just spend the dough to go to another state.

Meanwhile, women managed to kick themselves and their sisters in the gut after voting Republican. With an overwhelming majority wanting to keep abortions safe and legal, maybe Republicans will reap the whirlwind in the mid-terms.
