Al, if you really want to draw the rw family then Dad needs to be “working late” with his secretary, Mom needs to be drinking and screaming at the kids, girl needs to be covering up that she’s pregnant, and boy needs to be unable to count the pips on the dice.
I remember when sports were just thatm sports, and not a way to make political statements. I also still remember when the news was unbiased, and they only reported the facts.
Goodwyn, like most Trump Disciples, actually believes that professional sports, NBA, NFL, MLB, and the others are somehow non-political.
AS IF those sports are not heavily subsidized by massive tax breaks, government funded stadia and arenas, not to mention the infrastructure needed to run those structures and to get transportation to them.
It’s a complete waste of time and money… and if everyone agreed with me, roundball would go back… eventually… to being something you did with friends to get some exercise and (with luck) bragging rights. And all those millionaires who are paid to play a game would have to find productive work.
Or, in the real world, it’s a way to scrape money out of the pockets of people who care about the sport. And the owners, who benefit the most from this process are just as peeved as ol Al, here, that the “players” are using their popularity as a forum to try to wake some people up.
PS: Every once in awhile, I make a political comment on a “non-political” ’toon here. Mostly, that garners some angry responses from folks who want to look at these ’toons to get away from politics.

Just because you ignore your conscience, Al, doesn’t mean you should hold it against those of us who don’t.

Might as well to stay away from Baseball, Football or any other sport that does not conform to BADwyn’s sensibilities!!

Using Goodwyn’s “logic,” then many politicians have become just “entertainers!”

Only because the Pacers aren’t doing so well. Otherwise…well, they’d still fall I suppose.

So watching every local and national B-ball game has a political theme to it? Not the ones I watch. Reaching again Al!
