The best coffee from a large chain here in Canada is any dark roast from Second Cup. I find the fast food coffees are too bland. But, because of their rewards program, I usually go to Starbucks.

When I was up in Canada, working for BC Tel in the “Boot”, they frequently dispensed a coffee in the cafeteria that was flavored with something tasting like Irish? Whiskey. I’ve never come across it anywhere else. Yum!

To be fair, some of the McCafe stuff is pretty decent.

I like McDonald’s but only because I like “froo froo” flavors. :-)My favorite is the hot Caramel Mocha whenever the machine isn’t down, which is almost never around here.

@ jimmyh43105 GoComics yesterday’s comment I’ve never acquired the taste for coffee. Just too bitter for my tastes, but whatever floats your boat (or mug).-Me either. Hence the “froo froo” coffees I drink. :-)

We have always really enjoyed Farmer Brothers coffee when it is served. I like mine black but occasionally enjoy a froo froo coffee.

When we travel from Montana down to San Diego, we go through some very rural areas. No Starbucks or the equivalent…………..but there’s always a MacDonalds, so their coffee isn’t too bad! But, I do agree……….Doc’s Nuclear Coffee wins the prize!

I can’t stand coffee. I find the smell nauseating.

For me it is Starbuck’s Vanilla latte but only with 2 squirts, otherwise it is too sweet

The longer coffee beans are roasted, the more caffeine is burned off. Light roasts aren’t as strong, but they pack the most caffeine.

I am currently searching for a decent coffee to brew at home. Most coffee out is marginal, Mickey D’s is fair if fresh, which I find rarely. The problem is my better half buys my coffee and it is hit or miss. And with my grinder going south a good inexpensive brew is problematic. Half the time I drink decaf which further complicates the issue.

McDonalds is fine, but I prefer Dunkin Donuts. I don’t see what people see in FourBucks coffee, though. I have it now and then, but I’d usually go out of my way to avoid it..

That would be because, in the UK, they do not know good coffee from week-old dish water.

Farmer Brothers is only expensive, not even close to being quality. It is below the low quality of Community coffee from the Louisiana region.

I get Sumatra from my supplier, grind my own, and then brew. If I could get Ethiopian Yurgochaffe, I would drink that.

McDonald’s doesn’t have my favorite coffee, but they do have my favorite ‘fast food franchise’ coffee…

Coffee taste quality might have something to do with the quantity brewed. I do know when I brew a single cup of coffee in our Keurig brewer, it seems to taste a bit better than when I brew a “pot” of coffee in our Bunn coffeemaker. Both are reasonably high end units; but, the single cup seems a bit better, even using the exact same beans and ground just before brewing. Also, it is the same fresh, filtered, cold water in both cases..Regarding the Bunn, I am comparing to the first cup poured, not one several hours old…

Has no one tried Blenz? You don’t have to go fancy, froo-froo. They do have regular daily brews. And you can always add a shot of espresso. @ somebodyshort the caffeine in tea is bonded differently than it is in coffee beans. So a cuppa in the evening is relaxing and soothing.
