Shattering the Grass Ceiling • 28 days ago
Pro golfer Brittany Lincicome teed off against the men at the PGA Tour’s Barbasol Championship tournament today. If this bothers you, ask yourself: Why does gender have anything to do with golf? Moreover, why does anyone care about golf in the first place? It’s not like it’s badminton (the only true sport).

Over the next two days, Gary heard all about method acting and the Strasberg approach before finally, mercifully being rescued by a Warner Bros. production assistant.
Happy Birthday, Material Girl • about 2 hours ago
Madonna turns 60 today. The controversial Material Girl has done just about everything, including mentioning blowing up the White House after President Trump's inauguration in 2016. Maybe she really does want to rule the world, as she told Dick Clark in this American Bandstand chat from 1984?
Free Beer in Cleveland (if the Browns Win) • about 3 hours ago
According to Yahoo Sports, Anheuser-Busch will give away free Bud Light in Cleveland! They’ve already rolled out locked coolers filled with beer around the city! The only catch: the Browns have to actually win a game in order for these secret locked coolers to be opened, and the lowly Browns have not won a game since 2016. Enjoy gazing at those locked coolers of cold, delicious beer, Cleveland! When it comes to free beer, there’s always a catch (And let’s hope there’s also a touchdown).
The Queen Has Left the Building • about 5 hours ago
Aretha Franklin, the legendary “Queen of Soul,” died this morning at her home in Detroit at the age of 76. Franklin began singing in her father’s church, where she honed her four-octave range, and went on record dozens of hits like "Respect," "Chain of Fools," and "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman." Among her many accolades, Franklin was the first woman inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Franklin retired from live performing in 2017, and had battled pancreatic cancer over the past few years. We wish her family peace and comfort while she’s on the Freeway of Love to the other side. Respect, Aretha.
