At a restaurant with my wife, her mom, my stepson, his wife, and their son, all of 5 or 6 at the time. Dinner was running late in the first place, which is deadly with a little kid. But when our waitress brought out our dinner, she hotdogged the presentation and tried to hold the tray with one hand. The load shifted when she couldn’t maintain the balance and our dinners wound up in the laps of the patrons at the table behind us. THEY wound up getting their dinners comped. WE wound up waiting even longer for our dinners, no adjustment at all. We haven’t been back, even though I’ve heard the management has changed.
