    It did say squarish, so it could be Oregon, one of the Dakotas, or New Mexico too.

    Iowa. And Pennsylvania is about as squarish as the Dakotas or Kansas.

    Many of the mid Western states fit that description. Montana on the border. “Squarish” is just imprecise enough to fit many states that aren’t square.
