Arial is a good font. Time New Roman is terrible … and I’ve had more interviewers tell me they prefer to read Arial/Verdanna/Halvetica then something with a serif.

The best fonts are Palatino Linotype and Bradley Hand written.

I only use Times New Roman where I can. I never go with the crappy defaults.

Oh my I’m a font-aholic. But I know some who are worse. There are people who have about 25,000 fonts stashed somewhere. Can you imagine?

I still love good, old-fashioned Century Schoolbook.

Some people –when applying for a job or when writing an essay for class– ask for specific, readable fonts than those fancy, unreadable ones.

Sorry, Ziggy, but it sounds like you’re not hired.

Personally I love Arial, it’s easy to read - Times New Roman looks just a little too ornate. And if I am doing something for fun, not work, then I might use Lucida Handwriting and Comic San Serif. Maybe his prospective employer just wants to find fault with something!

Stop being down on Comic Sans MS…I love it. Not a good choice for résumés, though.
