I’ve done that before with my Pug, and he definitely doesn’t let me forget for very long.

Two words- Doggy door. It is a great investment.

My brother left our old French poodle out in sub-zero weather for almost an hour. Almost killed her but they revived her with warm blankets and love.

My wife had a cat that would do a Garfield chest high on the screen door until you let it in. It would occasionally rattle the screen for attention. Eventually you would go look and see it hanging there.
