He’d be constitutionally protected if he was. Supreme Court has ruled that way a couple of times.

Pay attention, people. There’s plenty to be upset about. You don’t have to make up threats to freedom.

wish they still let kids sleep in school. but, no, low test grades means more learning, more work, etc…

Mexicans got this right – siestas. People perform better with a daily nap to recharge, something our work environment has never learned and will never learn. I work 12 hour shifts, with just an hour lunch break, and when I get home, all I want to do is hit the bed and crash.

TJ, exactly, but there are always some idiots who want to blow it out of proportion. They fail to realize that gov’t endorsed prayer is illegal, but students praying is ok.

Do you realize it is OK to pray in school as long as you are not forced to do it? So many people get this wrong. It’s too bad that you do and help spread the myth.

When you work in hot and humid climates, siestas are vital. You need to see a doctor.

I really like reading Zack Hill, but I hate it when John Deering and John Newcombe say things like this. Do they really think that kids can’t pray quietly during class? How is this funny, it’s a lie.

Today’s strip is awesome! Zack falling asleep, closing his eyes and opening them up! Great job! This is a very good comic strip!

Schools are for paying attention to whomever is instructing on whatever subject. Pray at home, kids, and use your school time to acquire education. That, alone, should suffice in terms of lowering your need to pray (even praying for good grades will lessen).

One need only look at the state of American education before and after prayer in school was banned in 1963. Sad commentary.

I don’t know why everyone is saying anything about praying in schools. When I was in school, we didn’t pray. Before the beginning of class we recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang the national anthem. When we were in the auditorium for plays or whatever, the Pledge was recited, a Bible verse read, then the national anthem sung. No praying was ever done. After the stupid ruling, only the Pledge and anthem were done.
