Unfortunately a lot of cities don’t have the budget to run even more essential services than a dog park. It’s not all poor budgeting, though is in part. We simply don’t have the tax plan in place to effectively fund things like police, fire, animal control, public works, emergency workers, etc. at the levels they should be. And that’s even with the heavy use of volunteers for a lot of services.

Many small towns in my area supplement their police dept. funding by traffic stops. They always deny it, but it’s true.

And yet there are people who want tax cuts for themselves and still complain about all the above. They want wars and roads and police but do not want to pay for them. As a moderate I don’t mind paying my share and I want good roads ect… I don’t want illeagal wars, but I want our troops paid because unfortunatly we do need them. It’s a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world (Thank you Kinks…lol)
