It is a progressive means of providing for at-risk and disadvantaged pets. The minor surcharge will good for America, and will promote universal pet coverage. Get with the program, you knee-jerk reactionary members of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy – don’t you want your country to progress, move forward, like the rest of the world? Particularly Europe and Scandinavia, oh, and Britain’s universal health care. Norway-$1.67 per letter. We ARE going the path of Ireland, Greece, Italy, Spain – all the better! ANOTHER historic FIRST!

Many towns are coming up with these “clever” ways of increasing revenue. In my state, most towns now charge a fee of up to $3 per bag of garbage at their recycling centers (in addition to the taxes we already pay). They think this is a great idea, and will encourage people to generate less waste. But the only thing it has encouraged is dumping trash in the woods.

No. Property and business owners demand lower taxes = higher user fees to cover cost of service.
