HAH! That’s funny! Cover up just enough of the logos with big huge red “notes”, so nobody can sue nobody!

Although, you know what, Dave??
It might have been better to actually make an advertising arrangement with those sponsors! You know, “product placement” like they do in the movies!

Pirates wear patches so they can see in the dark (for instance, below deck) when coming from a brightly sunlit area.

Actually, the eye is blinded by using a sextant in daylight hours because the user has to look directly at the sun. At night the North Star is used in the northern hemisphere or Southern Cross in the southern.

The idea that pirates in general wore patches is a modern fallacy; Back then, combat at sea was a messy, bloody affair in which wooden splinters at high velocities were fairly common. The pirates that wore patches did so because they had to: they were blinded in one eye.
It is also a mistake to think that they wore them all the time; sailors back then would cover their “disfigurement” while in port in order to not offend the sensibilities of civilians in port.

Another tough debate. Who has the best costume, Yenny or Tomato? Discuss.
They both have their merits, and I think they could trade costumes and still it would be a tough debate.
