Having gone through the experience of age discrimination, this is not a bad idea. Maybe, if enough people tried this, employers would review their hiring practices.

Who is to say he isn’t a student? A good many people over 50 are back in school to learn new job skills. However, how a person lives on an unpaid internship is a mystery no matter what the age. I guess when the intern is young then it is the parents paying the bills. Older folks don’t have that luxury as often the parents are deceased or needing some financial support themselves.
