    Vacations – stay home and figure out which of the local festivals and local tourist things to see. How to get there, if you need to pack a lunch, or need special clothing.
    .
    But you do save on airfare and hotels.

    I agree, I usually needed to rest up from a vacation more than from the work I was vacationing from. So just take the time off and relax.
