But it could not beat the Millennium Falcon across the Kessel Run.

I think you could also agree that the Enterprise is not designed to be flown into the ocean.

I’m pretty sure the Enterprise is too big to run the trench to the itty bitty hole that is there. LOL!!

and a fatal design flaw with the death star with an open exhaust port that leads to the heart of death star.

It would be comforting to live in a world where things like this actually were important. Ask any returning Vet.

The Death Star can destroy PLANETS. You think one Fleet ship is going to stop it?

The thing is there are people in the world this is important to. (At least it has some importance. I know I had this discussion in college. In fact I had this discussion with returning Vietnam Vets. Yeah we would talk a bit about the war and how terrible it was but stuff like this makes for a nice diversion from real life.)

And sometimes we need that diversion. NOT to avoid real life, (though it could be argued that Roy does that,) but simply to balance ourselves and keep our sanity. There will always be those who are grave and serious, and think only of heavy matters all day and night.

You’re missing the REAL question: which is more effective, Jedi mind tricks or the Vulcan mind meld? :)

And T S R. You seem a little defensive today. I have no problem with some diversion. After all, I am reading comics, here and in print. I do feel some bemused separation form fanaticism. Maybe I know too many people who think the fate of the world hangs on the results of the World Series or the Super Bowl. No I’ll duck before the sports fans start shooting.

Just as with yesterday’s question, the knee-jerk geek response of only considering tech fails here. The Empire is massive, big as a whole galaxy compared to the few planets of the Federation, they’d win by shear numbers crushing the superior tech of a minute population of the Federation even without the Death Star

Sorry, didn’t mean to be defensive. I’m just saying Jay and Roy realize there are far more important things in life but these types of arguments make for fun diversions from the real parts of life.

BTW, from doing some googling I guess a lot of people feel the Wraith ships from Star Gate Atlantis would really go to town on any version of the enterprise.

We didn’t mean it as defensive. Just soapboxin’. This IS a forum open to discussions, after all.
