Working Daze follows the employees trapped at MacroMicroMedia. MMM is a wanna-be software giant, and it's staffed by geeks and clueless management types. VP Rita will try anything that might make a little money (though her ideas usually don't.) Underpaid Dana carries he place and keeps it running, while overpaid Ed sleeps all day. Roy and Kathy are made for each other, and everyman Jay never knows when to keep his opinions to himself. Writer/creator John Zakour is a humor/sci-fi writer, whose work includes the Zach Johnson detective novels. Artist Scott Roberts was a longtime contributor to Nickelodeon Magazine, and is the author of the fantasy novel The Troubling Stone. John and Scott met when they both worked on the Rugrats newspaper strip.

Duh – That is management for you.
Quicker to block everything at the firewall.
More fun to spread rumors what Facespace does with all the harvested data on you. Than watch the employees cringe in fear.

It WOULD be a good thing if he did it.

Where I work Facebook is blocked as are many other sites. Just as well really. We used to have a charge nurse who would sit at home monitoring Facebook and calling in when he found someone had used it.

wouldn’t blocking facebook at their desks, just let them use facebook on their phones?

I quit facebook last year and a few other people I know have followed suit

My goodness, did she make an intelligent suggestion?

Well, no, not really. A virus is not the most sensible way to discourage use. But Rita has opened so many email viruses, crashing the entire company numerous times, it’s what she knows best.

Turnabout is fair play. The Like button has hijacked some websites. Amazing Facebook is malware. Didn’t see that coming.

Several buildings I have been in have 0 bars of cell signal strength. Metal siding and reflective windows block it all. The only signal inside is the guest WiFi. That is easily fire-walled.

It would be great for it to be a ‘time-released’ type of virus/sickness, one that gets well AFTER working hours.

That’s true. We’re still a tad premature in taking cell phones and the internet for granted. They’e not always available, and therefore cannot yet be made indispensable.
