    “17 When Joshua heard the noise of the people shouting, he said to Moses, “There is the sound of war in the camp.”

    18 Moses replied:

    “It is not the sound of victory,
    it is not the sound of defeat;
    it is the sound of singing that I hear.”

    19 When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain." Exodus 32:17-19

    I’m a Christian…and I agree that I don’t see the point of N’s post.

    Maybe N means that what sounds like war was actually a celebration.

    And what about commandments 16 – 100,000,000? Huh? You can pick and choose, you MUST follow all 100,000,000 commandments or you are HELL bound!!

    I am surprised that the Huns celebrated Independence Day. They loathed anyone’s independence and tried their darndest to eliminate it.

    There’s a neat story from ≈1812. Two small towns on the US/Canadian border were each given weapons and a store of gunpowder for national defense. Later, the Canadian town asked for a re-supply of powder. They explained the original supply had been used for fire works to help the Americans celebrate July 4th. Those are my kind of neighbors. :-)
