Named after Admiral Edward Vernon who introduced it, and was known as “Old grog” because of his coat

This was done by a Michigan law firm.

I’m sure other jurisdictions and other countries have the same problem.

No money to pay his medical bills, but lots of money for his beer. Probably on food stamps to boot.

Traditional Grog was a mixture of rum with lime juice and water. The rum kept the sailors happy and the lime juice reduced scurvy.

But drinking too much of it left you feeling “groggy”…I know it’s a bad joke, but hey, you knew SOMEONE was gonna say it, right?

    1 part bitter (lime juice)
    2 parts sweet (raw sugar)
    3 parts strong (rum)
    4 parts weak (water)

They were not quite honest in their assessment, missing 6 checks on the left side:
Sports should be checked. Half of school spending is on sports, so the kids have free sports.
Library should be checked. I don’t know a school that doesn’t have one. Even grade schools have them.
Computer lab should be checked. It would be impossible to find a K-12 public school that doesn’t have computers for the students.
Non-white, non-male students typically have a host of financial aid options when they graduate, so a check there.
Most schools have a weight room. Check.
Most schools have at least a nurse on staff. Check.
Something really important that a prison doesn’t have: freedom to leave at the end of the day.

That’s because the GOP blocked what we really want – a single-payer, universal health care system like EVERY other developed nation on the planet considers a basic human right.
Only in America do we oppose it, because it would mean that the insanely-rich insurance companies and other filthy-rich health care concerns would lose out.
Under my plan, the health insurance companies would switch to mandatory gun liability insurance.

I only counted ONE “doctor” bill — the dentist. Pharmacists are not doctors, the hospital bill doesn’t normally include the doctors’ fees, and of course neither a therapist or home care people are doctors.

Where do you see that he specifically called them “doctor” bills? In panel 3, he said, and I quote:

“I have bills from five different doctors.” (Unquote.)

All five of those bills are from people in the medical profession and carry the title “doctor”. Hence, what the bar customer said was 100 percent accurate.
